Update on the panel's Recruitment Process

We would like to thank all those who have registered with the panel. We are delighted not only with recruitment, which is ahead of target, but also with the quality and enthusiasm of the panel members. As at October 28th 2008 the panel was made up as follows:

  • Over 90 Executives from 86 organisations, in 29 countries including some of the industry's big hitters
  • More than 78% are CEOs, Presidents, MDs, CTOs, COOs, Directors, VPs, EVPs and General Managers
  • Senior personnel from EA Mobile, THQ Wireless, Glu, Jamba (News Corporation), Nokia, Arvato Mobile (Bertelsmann Group), Fishlabs, Selatra, Real Networks, The Mighty Troglodytes etc amongst many others

We are aiming to go live with the Panel at the end of November with at least 100 Members. We are continuing to recruit senior executives to the panel. Statistically speaking, the bigger the panel, the more reliable the results. We will naturally provide you with another progress update at the end of November.

Which companies/organisations have already joined the Experts Panel?

What important issues have the panel members raised?

Because we wanted to show that our panel represents the industry's big hitters we have asked every member to give us permission to mention their company name and country in publicity (BUT not names of individuals)

No one has refused this request - over two thirds have agreed and the rest are still to reply. If you are one of those who has not yet not granted permission and are happy to appear in the list of member companies then simply email vic@multimedia-research.com and type ‘OK'.

If you would like to see those companies who signed up to the panel and have given us permission to show their names please go to http://www.multimedia-research.com/Experts_panel.html

As you know we have invited all members to suggest issues for possible consideration in panel surveys.

  • We have been delighted with the response as over two thirds of members have done so, with the majority suggesting 2-3 issues.
  • So far over 180 questions / subjects have been submitted, reflecting the diverse range of issues currently impacting the global mobile games space.

We have summarised this early feedback from Panel Members in an article which can be found at: http://www.multimedia-research.com/Experts_panel._issues.html

When will the first Online Survey take place?

After much thought we decided that it would make little sense to send out a survey to panel members in December. Being a holiday period for many member companies December is a notoriously bad time for carrying out research. We, therefore, expect to carry out the first online survey in the first half of January 2009.
